Last April took place the Latin American Congress of Obesity Surgery of the IFSO, in the city of Cancún Quintana Roo, an event of a major importance for our College since we had the opportunity to interchange experiences and knowledge with Colleagues from our country and all Latin America, It was very satisfactory for us to see the interest of new Surgeons to enter into the field of Obesity Surgery, as well as their desire to participate in activities of the Mexican College of Obesity Surgery S.A. Within the Congress, we changed he Directive Board of our College, of which now I have the affability and honor to preside, I am convinced that we must work together for the growth and fortification  of our association, since the primary target of the College is Updating, Academic Promotion, Training in Surgery and Continuous Medical Education. We communicate to all our college mates that next National Congress of Obesity Surgery, will be on July 2008 in the city of Oaxaca, Oax.
